Naina was very cinematic, telling, and thought provoking. The choice of black and white fit the story well. Kudos to the camera person as well. Excellent!

About Me
I refused to be boxed in. I am too creative for that. Just so you know...I love to be IN FRONT of and BEHIND the camera. I love to collaborate where I'm needed until I can work on my own pet projects. If you need ideas--I AM the one to talk to. Sometimes, I scare myself. I'm typically a beast when it comes to getting things organized and completed (unless it has to do with MY life...uuugh!).

So many times artists aren't typically business people. So in addition to CREATIVE collaboration, if you need help with the 'Business Side' of your creativity?' I'm your girl!!! ...it's all in the details.
Company Name
Life Savor Productions
What I hope to gain from The Site
Collaboration for bigger and better things.
What project are you currently working on?
I'm all over the place. My background is in health care and advocacy. However, my passion is on improving the Black community as a whole while still embracing other cultures and ideas= Eclectic growth Empowerment Movement. -- I just made that up!!:)

THE BUSINESS SIDE OF THE INDUSTRY!!

Last year I invested in a Mac Book Pro, My 40D Camera with lense and a Sony HVR-a1u (used). Unfortunately, 2 months later, my Sony just stopped working! No warranty. I sent in to Sony and of course...the cost to fix it equaled a new camera. But I'm tapped out. For right now... I dealing with the set back and I learned a valuable lesson! So my film goals are all in my head on in stills.

OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS!

Rob Diggy Entertainment (EPK)

Multi Talented Producer, Arranger, and Film Composer.
As a Film Composer, Diggy has been quite successful and accredits his success to two of his well-known mentors, Spike Lee and Steven Spielberg; he says,” these men have had a great impact on his life by w
hat they have contributed to the Film and Entertainment Industry over the years. Rob Diggy, often called “The Sixth Man of Music”, has been compared to phenomenal Composer’s and Producer’s like Terrence Blanchard, Brian Tyler, and Danny Elfman.

When Beyonce released her Multi-Platinum “Dangerously In Love” album in 2004, it featured the smash hit “Crazy In Love”, which earned Diggy a Grammy for his Outstanding Keyboard Arrangement and Musicianship for the remix. Diggy also recognizes that much of his success as an Arranger and a musician comes from another mentor and long time friend, Morris Hayes (Keyboard player for the famed artist “Prince”). Morris taught Diggy the art of keyboard synthesis and to this day still learns from him.

Film and Production Reel
Trust, My Phamily Barbeque, Hostile Take Down, Three, The Engagement, Tactical, Ransum Games, Paulo Coelho’s The Witch of Portobello Winner of The International Film Competition, and Are We Predestined A Documentary about the many facets of Religion, RE/MAX Spot.

*The Engagement was an official selection for the American Black Film Festival (ABFF) and the Black Harvest Film Festival; and Ransom Games was an official selection for the American Black Film Festival (ABFF) and the Hollywood Black Film Festival (HBFF).

When I came up with the concept of the video I planned to do B&W to create a classic old school feel, and then the video would fade to color in the last shots. I have different verisons of the video. One is in full color, another mixes black and white with color shots and then b&W. Technical problems...this is the version I can get up for right now. Two different cameras were used; Panasonic 3ccd, and I think the other camera was a sonny digital. In post production you could see the diff in quality between the Cameras..Black & White helps to mask this. In the version with the color and B&W the panasasonic shots were the color shots...

OK this is long enough!
Peace.

Wake Up African American Filmmakers!

African American Filmmakers member Michelle Karman recently wrote, “This site appears to be dead! C'mon, people!!!!”

I don’t understand the inactivity on this site. I’m not sure if it’s apathy, or the fact that many of the members here are busy for months at a time and don’t have the time to log on, but whatever it is, it has led me to question why I still have a profile here and has me considering deleting it. I’m not writing this to cast aspersions on the members of this forum, but to express… Continue
