About Me
I am a 26 year old screenwriter for animation. I was born and raised in North Philadelphia. Ever since I was a junior in high school, I was fascinated by Japanese animation, and decided that I wanted to become an anime creator and writer. I'm what you call "unique" because I create projects and stories that are totally different than what other people are doing, and I am willing to show certain themes and concepts in a different light. My style of creativity involves a combination of narrative and avant garde, in which I was inspired by anime and Takashi Miike, a Japanese film director. I attended Temple University and graduated in 2007 with a BA in Film and Media Arts. Right afterwards, I went to Japan and studied Japanese animation (anime) and manga (Japanese comic books) for a month in a half through the study abroad summer program. When I returned, I became a freelance animation screenwriter for people I networked with while in college. From there, I joined a writing agency that is currently representing me.
What I hope to gain from The Site
I would like to meet writers, people who are serious about their craft, and those that are truly focused on their goals. I Also would like to meet people who just have a passion for creativity. There's nothing like pushing your imagination to another level.
What project are you currently working on?
I am currently working on my third feature.

What Happened to the Hollywood Black Film Festival?

It appears the economic crunch hit harder than we thought. The Hollywood Black Film Festival closed it's doors this year due to a lack of funds. The bad part is major corporations were it's sponsors. What does this mean for future festivals? Should they have stopped it all together or simply scaled down and

Wake Up African American Filmmakers!

African American Filmmakers member Michelle Karman recently wrote, “This site appears to be dead! C'mon, people!!!!”

I don’t understand the inactivity on this site. I’m not sure if it’s apathy, or the fact that many of the members here are busy for months at a time and don’t have the time to log on, but whatever it is, it has led me to question why I still have a profile here and has me considering deleting it. I’m not writing this to cast aspersions on the members of this forum, but to express… Continue
